Why is Baby Z so precious?
Blind Luck looking all nice and relaxed at Hill ‘N Dale after her official retirement announcement (like no one saw that one coming). And yup, the rumors are true she’s off to meet Bernardini… for some reason, I looked at pictures of her this morning and just thought “Afleet Alex” to myself right off the bat.
I got very excited watching TVG yesterday when watching a two-year-old colt named Hansen. In his maiden victory, the nearly-white son of Tapit blew away the competition by at least a dozen lengths then destroyed the field during the WinStar Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes by 13 1/4 lengths. Wow. Next year’s star sprinter, if he can’t nail the classic distance (and he should, this race was 1 1/16 on Polytrack).
I can’t imagine the excitement of his breeder/owner/namesake, Dr. Kendall Hansen, and his jockey Victor Lebron is already calling him the best horse he’s ever ridden.
I’ve finally found a two-year-old colt I like as much as Union Rags.
