R.I.P. Bearpath: The gutsy Dynaformer gelding who battled foe after foe on the turf, winning stakes such as the Pan American Stakes (III), has died. He suffered a shoulder injury during the John’s Call Stakes on August 5 and deteriorated enough over the weeks to be euthanized.
Snow flies during Switzerland horse racing’s White Turf meet, held every year over three Sundays during February. The races are held over the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz.
