You can’t put a price on a fan favorite. “Mighty Mouse” and career sprinter Jackson Bend has been retired according to trainer Nick Zito, after the horse who always gives it his all finished a responseless 7th and last in the Forego (I). He was one of 8 horses to sweep the Florida Stallion Stakes series as a juvenile then went on to win 4 more including this year’s G1 Carter Handicap over Preakness (I) victor Shackleford and Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (I) winner Caleb’s Posse.
